Provision of micro grants to vulnerable households. Household Economic strengthening
LACCODEF has extended micro grants over the years to vulnerable households coupled with basic entrepreneurship and business management skills. This is aimed at enabling the households to start-up micro enterprises like selling vegetables, second hand clothes, produce items among others in their local markets and communities. Since 2018 a total 906 families have benefited from this initiative.
Although there is no formal definition of a small grant, for the purpose of this guide we will assume small grants. We will also assume that small grants are typically earmarked for small startups with limited budgets.
